This arched panel was in a church that had been in a fire. The heat from the fire broke much of the glass in the panel and in an attempt to save the panel the pastor of the church decided to pour a clear epoxy to cover one side of the panel while it was still in the wood sash.
This really complicated the repair of the piece as I had to removed the panel after it was epoxied into the sash. Then after consulting the customer it was decided we would replace all of the broken border glass in the upper arch of the panel, as it was the worst damaged. This meant that I had to cut through and remove the epoxy from that area.
After replacing the border glass with one that we chose with the customer present, I then added rebar to the panel and reinstalled into the wood sash.
